General Procurement Notice For: Accelerating sustainable and clean energy access transformation in lesotho
The kingdom of Lesotho has received financing in the amount of US$50 million IDA Credit equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Accelerating Sustainable and Clean Energy Access Transformation (ASCENT) – Lesotho Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.
The project will support expansion of electricity access through the following components aligned with the Multi-Phase Programmatic Approach (MPA) pillars:
Component 1: Increasing Access to On-Grid Electrification
MPA Pillar: Pillar 2 – Expanding Grid Electrification
Allocation: US$40 million
Component 2: Off-Grid Energy Access Pilot
MPA Pillar: Pillar 3 – Scaling up Distributed Renewable Energy and Clean Cooking
Allocation: US$5 million
Component 3: Technical Assistance and Project Management
MPA Pillar: Pillar 1 – Regional and National Platforms to Accelerate Energy Access
Allocation: US$5 million
