Tenders are invited for R2 Zacharovce - Bátka, contractor of the construction. The planned section of the R2 expressway will connect the previously existing section R2 Oždany - Zacharovce with the following section R2 Bátka - Figa. At the beginning of the R2 expressway section, there is an interchange (MÚK) Zacharovce, which ensures the connection of the R2 expressway to road 1/16 (originally designated 1/50) and the local road to Rimavská Sobota. The Zacharovce interchange was included in the documentation stage for the territorial decision (DÓR) for the previous section of the R2 expressway Oždany - Zacharovce. In the documentation stage for the building permit (DSP), the interchange, including related structures, is included in the addressed section R2 Zacharovce - Bátka, to ensure connection to the existing road network at a time when the previous section has not yet been realized. Given the above, the route of the R2 expressway begins at the Zacharovce interchange by crossing c. 111/2751 and continues northeast, where it bridges the Mociar stream. Subsequently, the R2 expressway crosses road 1/16 and runs south of road 1/16 and Rimavská Sobota, part of Bátka. In the further course, the route bridges the Hnojník stream twice and at the boundary of the cadastral areas of Tomášovce and Bátka, it crosses road 1/16 again and subsequently runs in its parallel north of the first-class road. The route ends behind the Bátka interchange, where it connects to the next section R2 Bátka - Figa. The transit traffic on road 1/16 has a very negative impact on the residents along this road. This is particularly true for Rimavská Sobota, part of Bátka, where the negative effects of noise, exhaust, and vibrations from the first-class road running through the village are most pronounced.
