Tender description : Expression of interest for Consultancy Firm Services for Design, Compliance and Supervision of Water Hydrogeology and Wash Infrastructure the Government of the Republic of Kenya Has Received Financing From the African Development Fund, Through the African Development Bank Group, Toward the Cost of the Integrated Mechanisms for Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Education (impresed) Project, and Intends to Apply Part of the Proceeds of the Financing to Eligible Payments Under the Contract for Consultancy Firm Services for Design, Compliance and Supervision of Water Hydrogeology and Wash Infrastructure (water Sourcing and Distribution; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Infrastructure). The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received financing from the African Development Fund, through the African Development Bank Group, toward the cost of the Integrated Mechanisms for Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Education (IMPRESED) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the financing to eligible payments under the contract for Consultancy Firm Services for Design, Compliance and Supervision of Water Hydrogeology and WASH Infrastructure (Water Sourcing and Distribution; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Infrastructure). The services cover groundwater assessment, water-system design, construction supervision, commissioning and handover. The 18-month assignment requires multi-county field presence. Further details are provided in the Terms of References (ToR). The National Council for Nomadic Education in Kenya (NACONEK), the Executing Agency for the IMPRESED Project, invites eligible consulting firms to express interest in providing the services. Interested firms must demonstrate their qualifications through a firm profile and legal status; relevant corporate experience; evidence of at least three similar assignments; expertise in hydrogeology, geophysical interpretation, saline or brackish aquifers, groundwater development, borehole drilling supervision, water-quality testing, solar pumping, storage and distribution systems, and school or community WASH infrastructure in ASAL or comparable contexts; relevant registrations, licences and professional indemnity; qualified multidisciplinary staff; quality-assurance capability; and adequate field, software, logistical and multi-county supervision capacity. Firms may associate through joint ventures or subconsultancy arrangements, provided each member’s role and participation are clearly stated.
