Tender Are Invited For Cass Road Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation
Charter Township of Garfield, Grand Traverse County
Scope of Services:
We have been asked by our client, the Charter Township of Garfield, to solicit this request
to qualified contractors to perform rehabilitation of the existing sanitary sewer along Cass
Road, north of South Airport Road. A portion of this sanitary sewer has recently
experienced failures and temporary corrective repairs were implemented, however, the
sewer is at risk of future failure due to the brittle nature of the material.
This proposal will include rehabilitation of the following sanitary sewer sections:
• Approximately 650 LF of 12” vitrified clay (VC) by method of cured in place pipe
(CIPP) technology, including repair and reinstatement of existing service laterals.
• Approximately 400 LF of 10” truss pipe by method of cured in place pipe (CIPP)
technology, including repair and reinstatement of existing service laterals.
• Approximately 50 LF of 12” VC to be replaced with 14” HDPE DR 17 (IPS) by method
of pneumatic pipe burst technology.
This portion of sanitary sewer that was installed in the 1970’s and provides service to
approximately 8 customers along Cass Road. The scope of work will include pipe
rehabilitation and/or replacement, repair and reinstatement of sanitary sewer laterals (for
CIPP sections), manhole repairs and rehabilitation, and restoration and cleanup required
to complete the project as specified. See attached plans, specifications and televising
documentation of existing conditions. etc.
