General Procurement Notice : Technical assistance to develop the legal and regulatory framework for SUKUK in Algeria and support the Ministry of Finance in launching the first sovereign Sukuk issue.
The overall objective of the project is the establishment of the legal, regulatory and supervisory framework for Sukuk in Algeria. The specific objective is to create an environment conducive to the growth and development of the operations of the Islamic financial industry in Algeria.
The project includes a component including consultancy services for the development of the legal and regulatory framework for SUKUK in Algeria and the support of the Ministry of Finance in the launch of the first sovereign Sukuk issue. These include:
Assessment of the existing legal framework of Sukuk.
The structuring of Sukuk,
Identification of projects/assets eligible for sharia compliance securitization;
Support for the launch of the first Sovereign Sukuk;
Capacity building of stakeholders.
