Request for Expression of Interest: Consultancy for An Environment and Social Safeguard Specialist
Scope of works
The Environmental and Social Specialist will lead the following activities.
Conduct screening/scoping to identify environmental impacts of subprojects.
Develop or review ESIAs/ESMPs and ensure compliance with Terms of Reference (ToRs), ESSs, and national laws.
Monitor consultants’ work and enforce environmental compliance.
Ensure environmental considerations are integrated into bidding and contracting documents.
Provide training on ESMPs, Codes of Conduct, and Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
Facilitate obtaining environmental permits and authorizations.
Conduct regular monitoring and reporting on environmental and social compliance.
Collaborate with agencies and stakeholders to ensure understanding and implementation of ESMPs.
