Expression of Interest: Social Protection (social insurance) Sector Specialist
the Tajikistan Government’s Long-term Development Strategy Identifies the Undeveloped Institutional Framework of Pension Insurance as a Key Problem of the Social Protection System of the Country and Calls for a Transition to An Insurance- and Savings-based Approach in Pensions, Including Pensions for Labor Migrants. Among the Strategy’s Tasks is the Development of the Concept of Pension System Reform for a Gradual Transition to a Pension System Based on Insurance Principles with An Individually Funded (contributory) Component and Raising the Average Pensions to Average Wage Ratio (replacement Ratio) in Tajikistan to International Benchmarks.
the Social Protection Sector Specialist/team Leader Will Lead and Manage a Team of Individual Consultants Engaged Under the Technical Assistance, Including Developing Detailed Implementation Plan and Division of Labor for the Delivery of the Ta Outputs and Consolidating the Consultant’s Inputs Where Required (e.g., Feasibility Study of the Digitalization Component; Project Administration Manual). on Sector Specific Issues and Team Leadership, the Consultant Will Be Supported By the National Social Protection Specialist and Deputy Team Leader.
