Expression of interest for Recruitment of a Consultant with a View to Carrying Out a Study of the Impact of Industrial and Above -ground Fish Farming on the Burundian Economy
the Services Provided for This Contract Include: (i) the Examination of Existing Policies in Terms of the Production and Management of Fishery Products (fish Farming and Fishing), (ii) the Analysis of Existing Fish Varieties in Lake Tanganyika and Outside and Those Which Present Potential of Industrial Farming in the Two Environments, (iii) Carry Out a Prefeisability and Feasibility Study for Its Component in All Its Components (fish, Seed Production and Transformation Including Technical and Financial Aspects), (iv) Skills Assessment and Employment Opportunities in the Fishing Sector and Aquaculture and Development of a Skills Development Strategy and Job Creation of Young People in Blue Economics, and (v) Fish Market Study and the Exporting Opportunities for Burundian Fish, (vi)profits of Investments in Fishing and Aquaculture Programs on Protein Assessments for the Fight Against Malnutrition, Employment, Competitive and Trade, (vii) Identification of Regulatory Gaps and Formulate Recommendations Specific to the Context with a View to Improving the Legal Framework for Operationalization of the Profitable Fish Sector, Etc.
