Requirement : The GMH | Gebäudemanagement Hamburg GmbH is a municipal company responsible for the construction, operation, and management services for over 50 general education schools in southern Hamburg (Wilhelmsburg and Harburg) as well as for higher education and municipal buildings. The project involves the construction of a two-story new building with an area of approximately 1950 square meters gross floor area at the primary school site Ernst-Bergeest-Weg, which will include a cafeteria, a single-field sports hall, and a movement room with corresponding ancillary rooms. The cafeteria is designed for 672 dining participants in three shifts of 224 people each as a vital kitchen - multifunctional. Due to the required size, the cafeteria is classified as an assembly hall. Delivery will occur from the north via the existing access to the basement, and directly to the kitchen area via an elevator. The basement will be constructed of solid reinforced concrete and masonry, while the upper floor will be a lighter structure with a mixed construction of solid building elements and timber frame construction. This construction will also be reflected in the facades. The upper floor will be executed with a ventilated wooden facade on a brick base. The roof of the cafeteria and sports hall will be a wooden truss roof with a warm roof structure. A green roof and a photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof area. The roof of the movement room will be constructed as a reinforced concrete structure with a warm roof structure.
