Our Business Volume Was Around 4 Billion Euros in 2023. the Competence Center for Digital Society in the Specialist and Methods Area (fmb) Focuses on the Topic of Digital Transformation in Giz Partner Countries and Advises Projects on Issues Related to Information and Communication Technology (ict) and Digital Solutions. to Best Represent This Major Cross-cutting Issue, We Work in Thematic Teams and Offer Various Services. the Data Helpdesk of the Competence Center is the Contact Point for Giz Projects Regarding Data Protection Law Issues in Service Delivery and Advises Projects During Planning and Implementation. Additionally, the Data Helpdesk Takes on the Responsibility for the Legal Assessment of the Implications of the Eu Ai Regulation and Relevant Associated Legal Acts for Giz, as Well as Case-related Advice for Projects on Legal Questions Regarding Ai Applications. the Development of Ai Models and Systems for Giz and Partners, as Well as the Use of Ai Systems, Such as Chatbots Or Automated Analysis Tools, is Playing An Increasingly Important Role. Legal Advice Helps to Identify Risks and to Handle Ai Technology Safely. Due to the Growing Data Protection and Ai Legal Requirements, Ensuring Compliance with Data Protection and Ai Law in Giz Projects Has Become More Challenging. Due to the Consistently High Demand for Advice and the Complexity of the Issues to Be Assessed That Come to the Data Helpdesk, the Contractor is to Provide Supportive Assistance in Advising Through the Data Helpdesk.
