Tenders are invited for Awarding of a service concession for the operation of air rescue in 24-hour service using a dual-use helicopter at the air rescue station in west mecklenburg
The state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is responsible for air rescue. Following the planning of air rescue locations under the leadership of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, and Sports of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, an air rescue location with a so-called dual-use helicopter (hereinafter referred to as RTH) is to be established south of the state capital Schwerin in the municipality of Pampow (district of Ludwigslust-Parchim) in 24-hour operation. After a successful bidding process, the first-placed aviation company will be granted the concession for the establishment and operation of the air rescue location. The concession provider intends to grant the concession for the RTH for 20 years (operating time). The concession provider expressly reserves the right, in accordance with its statutory obligation to ensure safety according to § 18 para. 2 RDG M-V, to grant further concessions/approvals for rescue and/or intensive transport helicopters during the mentioned term, depending on the development of needs. The service area of the RTH is primarily the western part of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, including the districts of Ludwigslust-Parchim, Northwest Mecklenburg, and the city of Schwerin.
