Expression of interest for : Consultancy Services for the Technical Audit and Environmental and Social Performance Audit
The Government of the Republic of Namibia has received financing from the African Development
Bank toward the cost of the Transport Infrastructure Improvement Project and intends to apply part of
the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for The
Technical Audit and Environmental and Social Performance Audit of The Transport Infrastructure
Improvement Project.
The services included under this project are to undertake a Technical Audit and an Environmental and
Social Performance Audit of The Transport Infrastructure Improvement Project. The Technical Audit
of the road upgrade component is aimed at assessing, evaluating and providing a factual report on the
effectiveness of the processes and procedures in use during the implementation of the project
components. The objective is to provide independent opinions regarding the overall performance and
compliance status of the works contracts, to ensure that the completed/ongoing works were/are carried
out to the highest quality and standard, as provided for under the contracts and in accordance with best
practice for sustainability. The services will entail inspection of the completed works and the ongoing
ones during construction, verification of materials and random sampling and testing to check
compliance with specifications.
The duration of the assignment is six (6) months.
