Tenders are invited for Gensler street 33, shell construction inside
sbh | School construction Hamburg has the task, as a state enterprise of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (hereinafter referred to as sbh), to plan, build, maintain, and manage school properties while considering educational needs according to economic principles, and to rent the more than 400 schools to the Authority for School and Vocational Education (bsb). --------------- At the Genslerstraße school, the building constructed from 1911 to 1913 is being renovated in a construction phase. It is a building with 6 full floors (basement to 4th floor) with classrooms, specialized classrooms, dining rooms, a gymnasium, and two main staircases, as well as a second basement (crawl space, up to about 1.80 m high). In total, the building comprises nearly 5,000 m² of rental space. The school is not in operation during the work. The demolition and hazardous material remediation work is currently nearing completion. (02/2026) The partially modified usage concept requires structural changes to the shell, the structural stabilization and reinforcement of the existing ceilings, and all preparatory demolition and cutting work for the new installation of the technical expansion as well as the restoration of the enclosing walls and wall surfaces. --------------- Here
