Tender Are Invited For Construction Of The Prinzapolka Bridge On The Rio Blanco - Siuna National Highway
The objectives of the consulting services (the Services) include, among others: (1) to conduct on-site investigations and field verifications to confirm design parameters and adapt the works to existing conditions, including geotechnical, topographical, and hydrological aspects; (2) to review the designs, and to supplement, update, and improve them where appropriate; to prepare detailed engineering designs and bills of quantities; and to review and finalize the preparation of tender documents, including all technical specifications and necessary documentation for the tendering of the Project's construction works; (3) to supervise the execution of the Project's civil works contract and the axle weighing stations, ensuring full compliance with the designs, technical specifications, and approved environmental standards; (4) to implement quality control and assurance procedures for all materials and construction works, and to supervise compliance with applicable environmental and social safeguards; (5) to assist the MTI in contract administration, including reviewing the contractor's work program, verifying interim payments, and evaluating variation orders and claims; (6) to coordinate with the MTI's Directorate of Miscellaneous Resources (DR-Varios) to ensure the timely exchange of technical information, site instructions, and progress assessments; (7) to prepare and submit to the MTI and KFAED all required reports—including the inception report, monthly progress reports, and final supervision report—in English; and (8) supervise the works during the defects liability period, conduct periodic inspections, and assist the MTI in issuing final acceptance certificates and preparing the Project completion documentation.
