General notice for procurement : Project to Strengthen Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation and Improve Resilience in Zinder, Mirriah and Surrounding Villages
This Project Has the Following Main Objectives:
- The overall objective of the project is to provide equitable and affordable access to drinking water and sanitation for all populations, including the most vulnerable, in the project area.
The specific objectives of the project are: (i) To develop
water and sanitation infrastructure
; (ii) To improve the resilience of populations
to the challenges related to poverty, climate change and health; and (iii) To strengthen the
institutional capacities of key actors in the water and
sanitation sector in Niger.
The project aims to contribute to increasing the production, storage and distribution capacities of water for the cities of Zinder, Mirriah and surrounding villages. The expected results of the implementation of these activities include: i) improved access to drinking water for the populations in the project area; ii) improved living conditions for the populations due to the availability and accessibility of adequate sanitation systems; and iii) improved quality of the provision of water and sanitation services.
