Call for Individual Consultants call for External Collaborators – Research on Occupational Safety and Health and Access to Social Protection for Workers in Two Agricultural and Forestry Supply Chains in Congo, Oshe Branch/: Ilo Country Office Kinshasa
Dear Bidder, The International Labour Organization (ILO) is seeking an individual to work as an external collaborator. A summary of the tasks to be performed is provided below, and the detailed terms of reference are attached. The objective of this consultancy is to support two research projects in the Republic of Congo: an assessment of the incentives and constraints to improving occupational health and safety (OHS) and access to social protection for workers in the sunflower and soybean value chain; and an assessment of the incentives and constraints to improving OHS in the forestry value chain. The consultant recruited under this tender will support the lead consultant, who is responsible for the overall coordination of both research projects. They will provide technical support on OHS and social protection issues, contribute to data collection in both sectors, and conduct observations at selected workplaces to identify occupational hazards and existing prevention and control measures. Both research projects will be conducted as part of a joint field mission covering both sectors. The results will be presented separately in two distinct research reports.
