Request for expressions of interest
the government of grenada (gogr) has received funding from the caribbean development bank (cdb) in an amount equivalent to usd$19 million towards the cost of the second phase of the grenada education enhancement project (geep), and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under a contract for which this invitation is issued. payments by cdb will be made only at the request of gogr and upon approval by cdb and will be subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the financing agreement. the financing agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of cdb, is prohibited by a decision of the united nations security council taken under chapter vii of the charter of the united nations. no party other than gogr shall derive any rights from the financing agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the financing.
the ministry of education, the executing agency, now wishes to procure consultancy services for capacity building for basic education teachers, guidance counselors, and moe officials in gender norms, practices, and gender-responsive pedagogy.
the objectives of the consultancy are;
extend gender sensitisation and gender-based violence (gbv) training, currently financed with cdb resources, to ensure that 80% of teachers from ecd to secondary levels are reached, including 100% of male teachers. the training will be delivered during annual summer sessions to minimize impact on classroom time and will continue over a four-year period.
equip teachers with the knowledge and tools to create gender-inclusive and equitable classroom environments.
the duration of the assignment is expected to be for a period 25 person days over a 3-year period.
ministry of education, piu now invites interested eligible individual consultants to submit expressions of interest indicating qualifications and experience required to provide these consultancy services.
