General procurement notice (gpn) : Climate Investment Fund Nature People and Climate Ethiopia Project Building Resilience for Food and Livelihoods
The CIF NPC BREFOL Ethiopia Project has the following components and sub-components:
a. Component 1 - Restoration and sustainable management of degraded ecosystems
Sub-component 1.1 Participatory land use planning
Sub-component 1.2 Restoration of degraded communal landscape
b. Component 2 - Scaling up climate-smart agricultural practices
Sub-component 2.1 Promoting agroforestry, efficient water use and soil health s.
Sub-component 2.2 Improving agricultural production and productivity.
c. Component 3 - Promoting inclusive, sustainable livelihoods and value chains
Sub-component 3.1 strengthening/establishing cooperatives and women and youth led Agri-micro,
small and medium enterprises.
Sub-component 3.2 promoting value chain development and market linkage.
d. Component 4 - Project management and capacity building.
the Cif Npc Brefol’s Project’s Objective is to Enhance the Resilience of Landscapes and Communities, Improve Biodiversity and Food Security, and Reduce Greenhouse Gas (ghg) Emissions From Land-use, Land Use Change and Forestry, Through Nature-based Solutions (nbs). the Specific Objectives Include: (i) Enhancing Biodiversity and Natural Capital Benefits; (ii) Improving Resilience of Participating Smallholder Farmers and Pastoral Communities; and (iii) Increasing Agricultural and Forestry Production and Productivity.
