Expression of interest for Climate Resilient Infrastructure: Preparation of Guidance for Design of Climate-resilient Infrastructures
The Government of Mozambique has received financing from the African Development Bank
toward the cost of the Songo-Matambo Transmission Line Project, and intends to apply part
of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for Climate Resilience
Infrastructure (Preparation of Guidance for Design of Climate-Resilient Infrastructures).
2. The services under this project include preparation of technical guidelines for EDM to
systematically integrate climate resilience considerations into the planning, design,
operation, maintenance and expansion of its High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV)
and Low Voltage (LV) electricity infrastructure including buildings and access roads
aiming to reduce the impact of climate change related hazards (e.g. increased frequency
and/or severity of extreme events) into the electrical infrastructures. The activity is expected
to be completed within a period of 12 months.
