Tenders Are Invited for Financial Model Auditor
Ethiopian Airlines Group (“eag”), as Project Sponsor, is Developing the New Bishoftu International Airport, a World-class Flagship Greenfield Hub Airport Located 40km Southeast of Addis Ababa. Bia is Planned to Be Africa’s Largest International Airport, and a Key Aviation Hub with the Initial Phase Currently Under Preparation Designed to Accommodate 60 Million Passengers Annually, Ultimately Scaling Up to 110 Million at Full Development in Later
The African Development Bank (“AfDB”) hereby invites consultancy firms to indicate their interest in the
following Assignment: Bishoftu International Airport Project in Ethiopia.
Ethiopian Airlines Group (“EAG”), as Project Sponsor, is developing the new Bishoftu International Airport, a
world-class flagship greenfield hub airport located 40km southeast of Addis Ababa. BIA is planned to be
Africa’s largest international airport, and a key aviation hub with the initial phase currently under preparation
designed to accommodate 60 million passengers annually, ultimately scaling up to 110 million at full
development in later phases.
AfDB intends to select an independent consulting firm as the Lenders’ Financial Model Auditor (“LFMA”) to
undertake an independent assessment, to support the lenders due diligence by undertaking an independent
review of the financial model as well as a tax review on the Project. AfDB, acting as Initial Mandated Lead
Arranger (“IMLA”), alongside a Co-Mandated Lead Arranger (“Co-MLA”) will coordinate the lenders’ due
diligence process, under which this LFMA assignment will be undertaken for their own benefit and as
applicable, for other lenders forming part of the Lenders’ Group. The LFMA will report directly to AfDB and
Co-MLA but shall owe a duty of care to all lenders participating in the syndicate.
The AfDB invites qualified firms to indicate their interest in providing the services described in this package.
Interested firms must provide a statement of capability and relevant experience demonstrating that they are
qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar
conditions and in the region, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.) Phases.
