Advance notice or periodic indicative notice used for Emission Reduction Maintenance Dredging Work in Rotterdam
Description :? To make dredging operations more sustainable, HbR and RWS intend to jointly tender Lot 3 as a frontrunner project. The ambitions for this lot focus on emission reduction in dredging operations, with CO2 eq., NOx, and PM10 (greenhouse gases, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter, respectively) designated as key areas of focus, in accordance with the SEB covenant. Currently, no medium-sized trailing suction hopper dredger is available capable of operating continuously on Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBOs) or Renewable Electricity (RE). The frontrunner project aims to stimulate the development of such equipment and deploy it within a multi-year contract, with a significant application of RFNBO/RE.
