Background:

Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) is recognised as potential innovative approaches for generating clean energy and support in India’s sustainable energy future. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is funding a dedicated project under its Development Partnership with the Private Sector program (develoPPP). The Development Partnership with the Private Sector (develoPPP) project aims to establish scientific evidence, raise awareness, and build capacities of key stakeholders in the solar energy ecosystem and related fields. Hence, it plans to collaborate with diverse partners, many of whom have already demonstrated their commitment to the project. Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is leading the implementation of this dPPP project and a crucial aspect of the project involves developing comprehensive BIPV guidelines and fostering strong research & development (R&D) and industry collaborations with established European partners

Purpose of the Tender:

GIZ India would like to procure sensors to monitor, gather and eventually study the physical parameters of the BIPV and RIPV pilot projects in India. The planned installation of solar panels, is directly targeted to replace a building material OR act as an additional cladding in case of BIPV and act as an additional element of innovative use of space in case of RIPV, it becomes imperative to study the effects of these installations.

Type of sensors required:

The parameters which play important role in determining the environment of the space and PV module performance are:

1. Solar Irradiation at the location
2. Temperature at the site.
3. Electrical output (Voltage and current): To detect the voltage and current of the system.
4. Electricity generation.
5. BMS (Building management system)/Software: To record and visualize all the parameters and bring the measured sensor data at one place.
